How did you first meet?
We first met at the gym. Neither of us were there trying to impress anyone, but we somehow noticed each other, shared a smile and started chatting. From there everything just naturally fell into place.
How did you propose?
George proposed while we were on holiday in Rome in February 2023 and I had absolutely no idea. He secretly hired the hotel rooftop and told me there would be a taxi waiting downstairs, which turned out to be a complete lie. When we got to the lift he pressed the 'up' button instead which confused me but he told me we’d just pop up to the rooftop for a drink first before heading out. The views were incredible, and that’s where he proposed. It was perfect!
Where did you get married?
Sant Ffraed House
What attracted you to the venue?
Everything about it. Sant Ffraed House was the first venue we viewed and we knew straight away. As soon as we walked through the doors it took our breath away and almost brought us to tears. We always wanted a traditional wedding with a modern, glamorous twist and it was the only venue that ticked all of the boxes. It feels timeless and contemporary all at once which is exactly what we were looking for.
The staff were also amazing from the very beginning. On our first visit we didn’t even have an appointment. Gail kindly showed us around while the team were busy and that first impression meant so much. Everyone was so welcoming and genuinely invested in making our day special. There really is no venue like it.
What was your first dance song?
Signed, Sealed, Delivered by Stevie Wonder. We wanted something upbeat that reflected us as a couple and really set the scene for the night.
What made your wedding unique?
Honestly, everything. The venue, the guests, the atmosphere and the incredible team at Sant Ffraed House. George and his groomsmen arrived in a Rolls-Royce and my dad arrived in his Ferrari which was such a special touch. We were also lucky enough to extend the celebrations with events the night before and the night after. We had a champagne tower and lots of thoughtful extras that just felt so us.
What did you wear?
My ceremony dress was from Laura May Bridal. It was the first boutique I visited and the fourth dress I tried on and nothing else ever came close. It was everything I’d been looking for. My evening dress was from Timeless Elegance in Cardiff. George, Teddy, and I all also wore Louboutin shoes, which was such a fun detail.
What advice do you have for others?
Make sure it’s right for you. Focus on what truly matters to you as a couple. Trust your venue. The team were incredible and knowing we could rely on them made everything so much easier. Don’t stress the small things. Plan the big elements, trust the experts, and enjoy every part of the process because it all goes by so quickly.
Any final words about your venue?
Sant Ffraed House is truly one of a kind. From the moment we first visited we felt at home and completely comfortable. The staff went above and beyond in every way. The combination of the stunning setting, the atmosphere and the team who brought everything together made our wedding unforgettable!
