How did you first meet?
We met on Hinge and from the very first conversation it felt like everything just aligned. We realised we had a few mutual friends, Scott even used to cut my best friend’s boyfriend’s hair! We also discovered my dad had actually crashed into Scott’s car years before we met and we only found out a year into our relationship when we were looking through old paperwork. Such a small world.
How did you propose?
Scott proposed at a rooftop bar in Dubai at sunset. He asked someone nearby to take a photo of us but instead she started recording. That’s when he got down on one knee. I was completely surprised, it was perfect.

What attracted you to the venue?
My parents got married at Oldwalls Gower years ago and always spoke so highly of it, so they suggested we call to ask about the Whirlwind package as we didn’t want to wait too long. When we rang we were told Oldwalls Gower was no longer taking weddings but they recommended we come and see Fairyhill instead. From the moment we arrived we were blown away. We loved the vibe, the greenery, and how it blends classic elegance with a more bouji feel. Every visit after that just made us fall in love even more.
What was your first dance song?
John Legend – Hold Me. We both loved that song. I suggested it to Scott and he agreed, it holds so much sentimental value for us.
What made your wedding unique?
When our singing waiters cancelled last minute, the amazing bar manager Alex stepped in to save the day. His words were “Would this make your day? I’ll only do it if it makes your day.” And it really did, everybody was up dancing and singing. The whole team went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Everyone was so accommodating and supportive. They took the stress away and made the day feel easy and enjoyable.
What did you wear?
I wore a two-in-one dress with an overskirt for the first half of the day, which I removed in the evening. The designer didn’t make a matching choker so my seamstress went out of her way to use material from my dress to create one, so everything tied together perfectly.
What advice do you have for others?
Make sure you take time for yourself on the day. After the ceremony the staff give you a moment to wind down together, use it. Take it all in because the day goes so fast.
Any final words about your venue?
I loved that Fairyhill allowed dogs! Our dog is our baby so it meant everything to have him there. Everyone raved about the accommodation and the breakfast and the morning after was so special, reminiscing about the night before. The Forge was also perfect for getting ready, so aesthetic and relaxed. We couldn’t have asked for more.
