We're proud to welcome Michelin-starred chef Stephen Terry to Sant Ffraed House as our new Head Chef, and this is no ordinary appointment. It's rare to find a chef of Stephen's calibre leading the kitchen of a wedding venue, and with decades of Michelin-level experience behind him, his arrival marks a major moment for Sant Ffraed House.

Stephen began his career at the legendary Harvey's under Marco Pierre White, before joining Michel Roux Jr at Le Gavroche and earning his first Michelin star at just 25. A second followed at The Walnut Tree, before he went on to establish The Hardwick, one of Wales' most celebrated dining destinations, which he led for 18 years.
His talent has taken him well beyond the kitchen too. He's cooked for world leaders at the NATO Summit, appeared on Saturday Kitchen and Great British Menu, and was named Independent Restaurateur of the Year at the prestigious Catey Awards. But for us, this is about much more than an impressive CV. Stephen's appointment forms part of our wider strategy to evolve Sant Ffraed House for the next generation of couples, with significant investment being made across the venue and guest experience.

Our Commercial Director, Shakira Obaid, said: "Our goal has always been to change what couples can expect from 'wedding food', and Stephen's appointment is our boldest investment in that philosophy yet." Today's couples want exceptional quality, but they also want greater choice, more flexibility and the freedom to celebrate in a way that feels personal to them.
Under Stephen's leadership, we're introducing a new approach to wedding dining, spanning traditional menus, feasting, street food and relaxed social styles, bringing restaurant-quality cooking together with the choice and flexibility modern couples are looking for. In Stephen's words: "Weddings are some of the most memorable days of people's lives, and the food should live up to that."
More choice. More flexibility. More possibilities.
